In the context of a complex global landscape, to reduce healthcare costs, ease the burden on patients, and drive independent innovation within the industry, this year’s Medical Expo has specially established a dedicated zone titled "Domestic Medical Tech Innovation: World-Class Quality Made in China." Over 20 prominent domestic companies—including Mindray, Haier Biomedical, Dongsoft, Xinhua, Weigao, and Innomed—have come together to showcase a range of cutting-edge, homegrown medical advancements. These innovations include intelligent diagnostic devices that leverage advanced algorithms for early, precise disease screening, as well as highly accurate testing equipment capable of delivering results 30% faster than comparable international products. Together, these breakthroughs highlight how domestically produced medical technologies are not only keeping pace with global standards but also demonstrating leadership in several key areas.
The expo simultaneously hosted over 30 diverse and engaging events, including a dealer conference, 15 new product launches, and numerous matchmaking sessions, effectively facilitating precise connections between supply and demand. During the new product unveilings, cutting-edge technological innovations such as the world’s first variable-frequency ultrasonic scalpel, wearable smart devices, gut microbiome solutions, and intelligent elderly care solutions were prominently showcased. Notably, the wearable health monitoring device enables real-time data transmission, offering significant convenience for chronic disease management, while various matchmaking activities have accelerated the practical implementation of advanced rehabilitation technologies and other groundbreaking innovations.
AI applications in the healthcare sector are steadily deepening, driving innovation across the industry—from assisting doctors in making medical decisions and enhancing diagnostic efficiency to improving overall service quality. For instance, in the field of medical imaging, AI has already become "the doctor's second pair of eyes." Deep-learning-based medical image recognition systems can swiftly perform initial screenings of complex images like CT and MRI scans, accurately identifying lesions such as lung nodules or breast cancer. This significantly reduces the workload traditionally associated with manual image analysis, allowing doctors to focus more intently on clinical decision-making and delivering precision treatments. Meanwhile, by integrating multi-dimensional data—such as genomics and radiology—AI is propelling healthcare toward personalized medicine.
Additionally, modern surgical robots have overcome the physiological limitations of human surgeons, enabling minimally invasive and highly precise procedures. As a result, they have been widely adopted across various fields, including urology, gynecology, and general surgery. Moreover, with the help of 5G-enabled remote control technology, these robotic systems allow doctors to "operate" from different locations, further expanding the reach and quality of medical services.
This year's Medical Expo not only showcased the wide-ranging applications and cutting-edge advancements of AI in the healthcare sector but also fostered greater industry collaboration and knowledge exchange. Exhibitors and industry professionals alike leveraged this platform to jointly explore emerging trends and technological innovations in the medical field, injecting strong momentum into driving innovation, elevating healthcare delivery, and better meeting the growing health needs of the public.
Looking ahead, as policies and regulations continue to improve and technology advances steadily, the deep integration of AI with the healthcare sector is poised to further accelerate innovation in China's pharmaceutical industry, injecting sustained momentum into the advancement of public health. At the same time, we must recognize that AI will always remain a tool to support physicians, relying on doctors' clinical expertise as the "safety benchmark." Moreover, its healthy development will require guidance from clear policies and regulations, as well as a rational and inclusive attitude from all sectors of society.
